Brady’s Ownership Bid Limits Media Gig
Las Vegas, NV – Tom Brady’s journey to becoming a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders has hit a snag. The NFL has imposed restrictions on Brady’s access to team facilities, practices, and production meetings, pending approval of his ownership bid.
The league’s decision, announced at the recent NFL meetings in Minneapolis, comes in response to concerns about potential conflicts of interest. If Brady were to become an owner, he would be subject to various rules, including limitations on public criticism of officials and other teams, gambling and anti-tampering policies, and social communication with members of other teams.
Despite these hurdles, Fox Sports, where Brady will be a lead analyst this season, remains supportive of his endeavor. The network has confirmed that they have no concerns about the restrictions.
Brady’s partnership with Raiders owner Mark Davis was initially announced in May 2023. However, the deal has faced challenges, including rumors of disagreements over the price of a 10 percent stake.
While Brady has been seen at Las Vegas Aces games, his involvement with the Raiders has been limited since the firing of former head coach Josh McDaniels.
The approval of Brady’s ownership bid will require the sign-off of the league’s finance committee and at least 24 of the 32 owners. The process is expected to continue into October.
As Brady navigates these obstacles, his fans and the NFL community will be watching closely to see if he can overcome the challenges and become a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
