Summer Yates provided the decisive goal in the 67th minute, securing her fifth goal of the season and third game-winning tally. The Pride’s defensive prowess was also on display, with Anna Moorhouse earning her eighth shutout of the year and 15th of her career.

With the victory, Orlando surpassed their previous single-season high of 11 wins and accumulated 41 points, the most in their club history. The team’s dominance has been evident throughout the season, and their recent victory further solidifies their position as a frontrunner for the NWSL title.

Head Coach Seb Hines expressed his satisfaction with the result but acknowledged areas for improvement. “Obviously pleased with the win, pleased with the three points,” Hines stated. “We continue our momentum from the last away game against Kansas. So overall, pleased with the result. I think we can play a lot better, the performance wasn’t quite there. But one thing with this team is their attitude, their mentality.”

The Pride’s next challenge will be against NJ/NY Gotham FC on Sunday, September 1st. The match will be held at Inter&Co Stadium, marking Orlando’s first regular season home game since before the Paris 2024 Olympics. The team is eager to welcome back their seven Olympians and showcase their skills in front of a home crowd.

As the Orlando Pride continue to break records and dominate the NWSL, their fans can expect more exciting matches and potential championship glory in the coming months.
