Sports illustrated announced today that Tennis super star Serena Williams would be it’s “Sports Person of the year” this year (2015). Being the number one female tennis players in the world two years running and making 700 wins is certainly a reason to give her that title.
Serena Williams tweeted “This year was spectacular for me. For SportsIllustrated to recognized my hard work, my dedication, and my sheer determination gives me hope to continue on and do better. As I always say, it takes a village it’s not just one person. This is not just an accomplishment for me, but for my whole team. I am beyond honored. I love you guys!
