KC Defeats Toronto. Advances to World Series
The Kansas City Royals defeated to Toronto Blue Jays 4-3 to stamp their ticket to the 2015 World Series, their second in a row. Toronto had the momentum after tying the game 3-3 in the 8th inning, but all momentum was lost after a 45 min rain delay.
Toronto bruiser Jose Bautista hit his second homer of the game in the 8th inning, tying the game 6 ALCS contest 3-3, giving Toronto a chance of extending the series to a 7th game. But a line of rain showers swept through Kansas City, stopping play for 45 min.
After the delay, Kansas City won out after a white knuckle 9th inning. Kansas City shortstop Alcides Escobar was voted the ALCS MVP after going 11-23 (.478)in the series
The Royals face the New York Mets on Tuesday to start the 2015 World Series in Kansas City.
