Mets Sweep Cubs to Win Spot in World Series

The New York Mets broke many hearts last night as they closed out the National League Championship Series with an 8-3 win over the Chicago Cubs. The win complete a 4 game sweep and sends the Mets back to the World Series for the first time since the year 2000. Dejected Cobs fans, who’s team has not won the World Series since 1908, stood in disbelief as the Mets bats and young pitching dominated the series. Daniel Murphy proved to be a stand out by homering in 6 straight post season games for the New Yorkers.

The Mets await the winer of the Kansas City – Toronto American League Championship Series. The World Series will begin on Tuesday, Oct 27th.
