2018 Grammy Nom’s Announced: Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, and ‘Despacito’ Dominate

Nominations for the 60th Annual Grammy Awards were announced Tuesday morning, and rapper Kendrick Lamar dominated the major categories, raking in nods for record of the year for “Humble” and abum of the year for “DAMN.”

The ultra-catchy English-Spanish hit “Despacito” was another big winner, earning nods for song of the year and record of the year.

The awards which return to New York in 2018 on Jan 28, also feature nom’s for Jay-Z’s “4:44” for Album of the year, the title track for for Song of the Year, and “The Story of O.J” for Record of the Year.

Heartthrob Ed Sheeran was a huge snub this year. He didn’t earn a nomination in any of the top three categories, despite his wildly popular song “Shape of You” and album “÷” being eligible.

Other stars set to descend upon the Big Apple include Bruno Mars, a contender for album of the year for “24K Magic” and record of the year for its title track, Alessia Cara, who’s up for Best New Artist, and Migos, who is a finalist for best rap album.
