Warriors beat Magic 101-93. Draymond ejected early
ORLANDO, FL – The Orlando Magic lost to the Golden State Warriors 101-93 at the Kia Center in front of a sold-out crowd.
Draymond Green was ejected at the 3:36 mark in the first quarter for contesting a foul call and continuing to contest the call after being warned.
Cole Anthony had the game’s high score with 26 total points, followed by Andrew Wiggins who dropped in 23 points for Golden State.
Steph Curry was held to 17 points but managed a double-double with 10 assists.
Orlando continued the path of shooting themselves in the foot in the game, making only 11 of 21 shots from the free-throw line for 54%. At the end of the first half, Orlando had zero fast-break points.
The Warriors trumped the Magic 27-11 in the first half, in multiple sequences where Orlando shots missed, the Golden State would take the rebound for a fast break and a score at the other end.
In the second quarter, The Magic pulled closer, outscoring the Warriors 27-18 and pulling to within 8 points to a 45-37 score.
Orlando continued to battle back, with scoring from Jonathan Isaac and Cole Anthony, getting to within 1 point in the final quarter.
In the final minutes, Orlando continued to miss free throws and open looks, while the Warriors capitalized and held on for an 8-point win.
