Peyton Breaks Record, Then Gets Pulled
What a weekend for NFL superstar Peyton Manning. On Sunday in a game vs the Kansas City Chiefs, Manning broke the all-time passing yards record — formerly held by Brett Favre, who racked up 71,838 yards during his career.
Manning now holds the records for (539), Most touchdowns in a season (55), Most passing yards in a season (5477), among other records..
What happened next was inexplicable.. Manning had a 4 interception performance and was pulled from the game in the third quarter. This one of the worst performances of his career. He completed only 5 of 20 passes for 35 yards in the game.
After the loss, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak revealed that he shouldn’t have allowed Manning to start the game. It has been revealed that Manning has been battling a sore shoulder and now is having trouble walking due to plantar fasciitis.
Manning has been feeling discomfort in his foot since playing on artificial turf against the Colts last week. It has been reported that it may involve a possible tear int he muscle.
