CBS Announces New Start Trek Reboot…With A Catch
CBS announced this week that they will be producing a new reboot of the Start Trek series to air in 2017. Very little information has been revealed about the new reboot. But there’s a catch. CBS will air the premiere episode of the new series on CBS’ national network, BUT subsequent episodes will only air on CBS’s streaming service, CBS All Access.
Over the years, Trekkies began looking to Ronald D. Moore, a former “Trek” writer and creator of the fantastic “Battlestar Galactica” reboot, to bring his signature grit and modern take on sci-fi to a new “Star Trek.” But Trekkies were dismayed when it was announced that executive producer, Alex Kurtzman.
Kurqtzman’s projects include “Star Trek: Into Darkness” , “The Amazing Spiderman 2” and “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.” Trekkies are not thrilled. Captain Kirk wouldn’t stand for it.
