Miami Hurricanes Suffer Worst Loss in School History
The University of Miami Hurricanes lost in a blowout against the Clemson Tigers 58-0 today. It was the worst loss in the history of the school, who has one of the most outspoken and passionate fan bases and alumni players in college football. “The U” trailed from the start of the game and ended the half losing 42-0. The loss only increased the calls for coach Al Golden’s dismissal.
The crowd grew frustrated after Clemson’s third touchdown. They began leaving the stadium after quarterback Brad Kaya was taken to the locker room because of a concussion after being pummeled for a second time. Former Canes players Warren Sapp, Jonathan Vilma, Leon Searcy, and others posted several twitter messages of frustration during the embarrassing contest, many calling for the coach to be fired.
UM Athletic director Blake James had stated that he would wait until the end of the season to evaluate the teams performance, however today’s performance may force him to change that thinking.
