ABC Family has decided to pick up a comedy TV series executive produced by rapper/singer Nicki Minaj. The show will center Minaj’s upbringing and her family that immigrated from Trinidad to Queens New York in the 90’s. The show is modeled after Minaj’s family and how her evolution lead to her becoming an international series. Minaj will appear in the series. The project will shoot in Minaj’s hometown of Queens, NY this winter.
