Born in Mingora, Pakistan. At a very young age, she became the voice for education in a Taliban town; as a result, her life was threatened and in October of 2012, she was shot while traveling to school. She survived that attacked and has continued to spread her message. In 2014, she was nominated won the Nobel peace prize. Now, a documentary has been produced to tell her story.
