FDA Approves Female Viagra

For many women, this is a relief, specially those suffering with a low sex drive or those who have completely lost interest.  On Tuesday, August 18, 2015, the Federal Drug Administration approves the drug that is known as “Addyi”.  Made by a Pharmaceutical company out of North Carolina.

“Today’s approval provides women distressed by their low sexual desire with an approved treatment option,” said Janet Woodcock, director of the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.

In trials, “Addyi” or “Female Viagra” helped increased women to took it by 37%, according to the maker of the drug (Sprout Pharmaceuticals).  They were also very clear to say that “it won’t help all women with sexual problems, but it will have a role in the therapy. Just like with any medication.”

How much will this cost?  It will cost just about the same as Viagra for men.
