This Treehouse Wedding Is What Childhood Dreams Are Made Of
We know more than a few elementary schoolers who would give up their iPad privileges (for a week, let’s be real) to get married in a treehouse.
Colorado couple Becca Bair and Brandon Spurgin were lucky enough to turn that childhood pipe dream into a reality when they tied the knot at TreeHouse Point in Fall City, Washington on October 5, 2014.
Due to size limitations, the couple couldn’t actually recite their vows inside a treehouse, but they did spend the night in one. Their guests also had their own private treehouses for the evening.
Becca and Brandon’s wedding was a small, personal affair with less than 30 guests.
“My brother got ordained and officiated the ceremony for us,” Becca told HuffPost Weddings. “He delivered the most touching, hilarious, personal speech ever. Everyone was laugh-crying and it really set the mood for the whole day to follow.”
The newlyweds met more than 10 years ago in a high school art class, after a teacher introduced them. He was a senior, she was a freshman at the time. The rest, as they say, is history.
